Everyone that comes into the house says something about this fixture. Its very unique, and I totally love it. It's in my dinning room on a dimmer switch and I was concerned that it wouldn't be a bright enough fixture on its own in the space. But the light's are more than sufficient when turned fully on and this fixture provides excellent brilliance all on its own. I did have one of the bulbs go out after purchase and it's very noticeable when they do, but a replacement was easy to find and install. This light was easy to install with two people, and well worth the money in my opinion. I had been looking for a chandelier like this for quite awhile and was thrilled to be able to purchase it at a great price. It really adds the finishing touch to the dinning room that was needed. Most of the ceiling fixtures in my home are of oil rubbed bronze so it fits in perfectly with my decor. The metal framing mimics a design in the area rug in the room and the shimmering gold sheer fabric wrapping the opaque interior shades provide a subtle touch of bling. It's great. The only reason that it gets 4 stars is because it is damaged. Neither I nor my electrician noticed the damage until it was installed. Most people who see it don't realize that it is damaged, but I do because I viewed images of the chandelier on a number of websites and know how it should look. I attempted to have it replaced, but the replacement had sustained even greater damage. I decided to keep it because it is what I really wanted and had purchased it at a great price. First saw this in a department store in Helsinki, loved the design. Beautiful, extremely well built, installation was not too difficult, it was a one-person job, even though two people would make it easier, especially in the final hanging. Comes with an omni-directional bubble level to help in getting it leveled. The instructions are terrible. We had to use a black sharpie to fix dings all over the chandlier. Then we get it installed and we find out we are missing a piece for one globe. We contact Maxim and they said we have to go thru Amazon. We contact Amazon and they say we have to go thru Maxim. Amazon did finally say they would ship an entire new chandelier; but then we have to return the chandelier (missing the one 2 oz part we need). Is this not the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard? Also looking up from the 1st floor, it looks ok. We have a 2 story foyer. When we are on our landing looking down at the chandelier, it looks terrible. Each tier is not level no matter what my husband tries to do.
