I waited to write this review until I owned it for a year because it is an expensive item and because I consider it to be a somewhat atypical purchase on the internet. Now that I have had it installed and used it for a year I have to say it is absolutely beautiful and flawless in performance. The crystals sparkle throughout the room and it is both elegant and understated. It has a classic design so it will work in traditional, transitional and modern decor. It is dressy enough for a dining or living room area, but sleek enough to work over a dressed up kitchen table or island. The only thing the buyer should understand clearly is the return policy. When I purchased this fixture the return policy included a hefty restocking fee. The problem with that policy is you have to see a fixture in person to know that it will truly work. I went to a lighting store first, saw the fixture both turned on and turned off. Only then did I take the risk and make the purchase. If you are buying this and have not seen it for yourself, I would recommend looking up vendors that sell Kichler in your area to see if they have the fixture hanging in their showroom. That way you can drive out to see it and make sure prior to taking the restocking fee risk. That being said, I highly recommend this fixture. Additionally, the fixture came on time, was well packed and included an instruction sheet (although I had it professionally hung). I would absolutely buy this again, although I would probably look to see if I could buy it from a vendor that did not have a restocking fee.. this is my Kichler Lighting 42631CH 5 Light Parker Point Chandelier, Chrome reviews
