I hung this light in a foyer that has a 20 foot ceiling and the light looks spectacular. The brown and gold metal rings along with the soft tan of the shade are the perfect compliment when the lights are on. I used 40 watt fluorescent bulbs because I didn't want the light to be too bright and I'm hoping I don't have to change bulbs for a very very long time. (I'd use LED's if I had it to do over again.)
