This chandelier does contain several clear plastic pieces as the decoration and in construction. Not entirely constructed as glass/crystal and metal. Assembly is tricky. Wiring was confusing since directions were lacking detail. Be aware that assembly is needed, but can be done. The plastic pieces did not tighten well. Overall, a nice look for a reasonable price.
